1GB GDDR5 vs 2GB GDDR3
-
See, I want to buy a graphics card and I can only find 2 versions with the budget I have, one with 1GB GDDR5 and another with 2GB GDDR3, which one would be better for gaming?
Thanks in advance.

A GB is a scarce amount of memory for a current graphics card, and you are probably better off with the 2GB option.
The problem is that the 2GB one probably has the main chip on vacation, in addition to the slower memory.
If you can tell us the specific models so we can give you a better opinion.
Cheers!

@Fassou It's the GT 710, I know it's a piece of junk but currently they are all very expensive. At first I was thinking of a GTX 660 or something close but of course on the second hand market they were going for almost 100€, then I thought about the GT 1030 which performs quite well but I can't find any cheap ones and well, out of the cheap options, that's all I have left.

The price of graphics cards, they really are getting out of hand

Look among acquaintances, because paying these prices is absurd.
Another option is the assembled and portable computers that still maintain relatively normal prices.

To make it clearer.
Before spending money on those graphics, I would opt for a Ryzen with integrated.
If you need a graphics card, you can try to look for stock of a branded desktop in stores with easy payment options like Mediamarkt, taking advantage of some offer.
You have examples around 800€ with RTX 2060, and it shouldn't be difficult to sell the rest of the equipment, or take the opportunity to upgrade and sell your platform, which you haven't told us what it is

@Fassou Well yes, I think I'd better forget about that GPU, sell my computer and buy a handsome one when the BTC mining thing is over.
Thanks for replying and bye2
