A PCIe 4.0 card has been introduced that comes with 21 M.2 slots capable of housing up to 168TB of SSD memory. It achieves a rate of 31GB/s and is compatible with Intel's defunct Optane memory.

Apparently, counterfeit Samsung 980 Pro SSD drives have entered the Asian market. These drives carry a Maxio controller, manufactured in China. In contrast, Samsung produces its controllers in its own facilities in South Korea.
