[TRLE] Babylon is Fallen
-
Hello guys

Today I wanted to share with you an author level of Tomb Raider that I finished a couple of days ago and that has left me with a very good taste in my mouth: "Babylon is Fallen", created by eRIC (Eric Claire). As an additional fact, eRIC was a highly respected French author in the level designer community who unfortunately passed away last year; this level is one of his most remembered works.
The project is composed of 4 levels and, despite being from 2009, it has a quality that perfectly explains why it is still in the "Hall of Fame" of Trle.net.
My impressions: It is not an excessively difficult level in terms of jumps or enemies, but it requires a lot of research. It totally maintains the essence of the classic Tomb Raiders: a very well-cared-for setting and a design that forces you to pay attention to every detail of the environment.
As for the duration, it is a medium level. I have dedicated between 3 and 3.5 hours to it, although this depends a lot on how accustomed you are to the mechanics of author levels and how much you consult the guide if you get stuck at certain points. Personally, the "Gardens" part seemed to me the most complex and elaborate of all.
If you fancy a round level, with good atmosphere and solid design, I recommend giving it a try.

He uploads many game videos and especially TR author levels!!I found out about the loss of eRIC these Christmases, in the advent calendar, and that's where I discovered his level. I wonder why I hadn't played it yet! But frankly, there are so many high-quality levels published and it's difficult to keep up with all of them... really.
If anyone has played this level or ends up playing it, please comment on your impressions!

Best regards.
