Taking advantage of this thread, several tasks were completed yesterday: the case and the power supply of the NAS were changed, the machine dedicated to the Redis server was removed, and all Peertube metadata was moved to the Mastodon disk. For next Saturday, updating Peertube remains.
PC sales drop by 10%
So far in 2026, computer sales have fallen by 10.6% compared to the same period last year due to hardware prices. If things continue like this, it is estimated that by 2028 the segment of PCs below €500 will disappear.
Nvidia dominates the consumer GPU market by much
In the market for dedicated home graphics cards, there are three players: Nvidia, AMD, and Intel. Nvidia has always been the dominant manufacturer, but now it does so by much. More than 90% of GPUs are from Nvidia, while AMD sells 5% and Intel barely 1%.
