New UCI Chess Engine: SirioC Original
-
Hello everyone, I already have a very clear plan to create an original hybrid chess program (Stockfish-style) that combines classical evaluation with the use of neural networks. One of the main challenges is being able to generate a modern NNUE for the chess engine, as it requires professional GPUs. The project has been parked on GitHub for a while now: https://github.com/jordiqui/SirioC.
My proposal, if you're okay with it, is to invite all the users I've known for decades to join as authors and collaborators, and to launch the engine in official tournaments. I'm attaching the work plan that I have Forensic audit and roadmap to adapt SirioC towards a Reckless-type strength without compromising (1).pdf, which, along with GitHub, allows you to download the source code. On my end, I have time and am making progress, but what I lack is a GPU to train and/or generate the networks. This is essential for the engine to be efficient and achieve good performance. For now, the license is MIT. If you can take a look and anyone is interested in joining the project, they will be more than welcome. As always, I look forward to your suggestions, and as I said, I prefer to keep the center of operations here with you all, since, as I already mentioned with the broadcast app, everything I've learned has been here. Let me know what you think, and by the way, I'll add the forum link to GitHub once you give me permission, etc.
