Encryption in a network with two routers in WDS configuration
-
Hello
I have a network at home consisting of two Wifi routers. One of them is the'main' and is configured to only accept connections from the other router. The second is configured with WDS to act as an access point. In this way, I extend the coverage of the network, which for architectural reasons was too scarce.
I want to implement WEP/WPA encryption, and my question is whether I should put the encryption only on the main router or on both this one and the one that acts as an access point.
Of course, the machines that connect must take into account the encryption, but my question is about the two routers. The main one is a Comtrend ct536 and the access point a 3com 3crwdr100y-72
regards
