Internet configuration via federated proxy squeeze
-
Hello,
my problem could perhaps be extended to any Linux distro, but in particular I use Debian Squeeze.
I access the Internet via a free provider that works through federated proxy servers.
This forces me to configure in each of the applications the IP of the proxy, the port I use to
connect, the username and password.:ffu:Is it possible to configure the proxy information in a single place within the Debian so that all applications
work with that proxy and not have to configure all applications separately? I have been searching and the solutions I have found require touching iptables or tunneling. Is there an application to automate
this function? Is there any recommendation in the access points or hardware where this information can be entered, if the previous option were not possible?Thank you very much in advance.:)
