The final version of Opera 11.60 arrives with a new email client

Opera Software has announced the launch of the final version of its desktop browser Opera 11.60, which comes with a new email client and debuts several features such as the Star button.

The people in charge of Opera compare the new browser to a car “very powerful, comfortable, 4x4, elegant, stylish and with no CO2 emissions”, as explained by Jan Standal, vice president of desktop products at Opera Software.

Among the main novelties of this version stands out the new email client, which has been redesigned to achieve a lighter and more orderly appearance. In this service it allows managing emails automatically and offers a more intuitive visualization of the inbox.

A new Star button has also been added in the address field that allows you to add favorite pages to Speed Dial quickly and easily, as well as important improvements in the rendering engine.

In Opera 11.60 compatibility has been improved, including the HTML5 parsing algorithm that helps unify the code of discrepancies between browsers. In addition, this version promises safer and faster navigation thanks to a network code that establishes secure connections and increases speed on SSL sites.
