Motorola manages to ban the iPhone and iPad in Germany

The patent war is turning against Apple in some cases, for example in Germany, a powerful market where they will not be able to market their mobile devices after losing the litigation with Motorola.
This is a precautionary measure adopted by a regional court in the town of Mannheim (Germany), under which Apple is urged to stop sales of mobile devices that violate one of the patents owned by Motorola.
The ruling does not specify which products would be violating this patent related to mobile communications, but patent expert Florian Mueller believes that the ban may affect the iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 3G and iPad2 3G.
Motorola Mobility has stated that their intention was to reach an agreement with Apple for the use of this patent to avoid having to resort to these extremes. In this sense, the company points out that they have offered Apple “reasonable license terms and conditions since 2007” without obtaining a response.
Apple has also commented on this ruling, stating that they will appeal the court's decision immediately. “German buyers should not have problems finding the iPad and iPhone they want during the holiday season,” says the company's spokeswoman, Kristin Huguet.
It is not the first time that German justice has given Motorola the right in this war; last November we already commented that the judge had ruled that some products of the apple brand violated Motorola's patents.

I think Apple has dug its own grave by starting this war. There will come a time when the antitrust authorities start to act.
