OC record with the new F7 BIOS for Gigabyte X79
-
The motherboard manufacturer Gigabyte has become the first in the market to achieve a multiplier of 57x, a mark obtained with an Intel i7 3930K processor. To make this a reality, they had the collaboration of Hicookie, a renowned expert in "overclocking", who used the F7 BIOS and liquid nitrogen in his test to ensure the ventilation of the motherboard.
Specifically, Hicookie used the Gigabyte motherboard model known as GA-x79-UD3, and the Intel i7 processor was configured with a multiplier of 57x.
Thanks to this, they were able to reach speeds of 5.6GHz on the processor clock and obtain record scores of Super Pi 1M (6.64 seconds) and Super Pi 32M -6mins 8.516 sec.
In the video below you can see how Hicookie completed the entire "overclocking" process.
