Chinese firm Lenovo has surprised at CES, which began yesterday in Las Vegas, by presenting its Android 4.0 TV.

The device, called Lenovo K91 Smart TV, will for the moment only be available in China, but the company is already looking beyond and plans to expand to other countries by the end of 2012.

The TV has a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8060 processor, at 1.5 GHz. It has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage in addition to a 2 GB SD card. It will also be able to interact with Android smartphones and tablets; these will act as remote controls.

The firm has announced that the device will be available in two models; one of 42 inches and the other of 50 inches, with a 3D LED screen. It will also have an integrated front camera (5 megapixels) with facial recognition (especially focused on parental control).

Among other functionalities, voice recognition and touch screen stand out, in addition to the possibility of accessing the firm's cloud services (yet to be launched), which will allow for content stored in the cloud to be offered.

It has not been clarified whether it will have access to the Android Market or if Lenovo will launch its own app store. For the moment they have announced that it comes with 100 applications installed.

If we add some gadgets to this TV, things could get really interesting...

          Best regards.
