Hello everyone!
I'm thinking about cleaning my PC... and I'll tell you about my plan...
Currently I have...
Motherboard: asus m2n sli deluxe
CPU: amd 5000+
RAM: 4 gigas ram with some ddr incompatibility at 800

Graphics card: nvida 9800 gtx
I have a tagan 500w
I was thinking of using the same case and just changing to...
Motherboard: msi z68a-g45 (g3) (about 120 € approx)
RAM: kingston hyperx red limited edition (4 gigas 1600) about 30 € approx
CPU:?
I'll change the RAM in the future... I'll get that one to last a while...
I don't have the CPU defined yet but I'd like something very cheap for overclocking
I'm not very knowledgeable about this... I suppose to make a good overclock I would need a 2500 k... the idea is to spend much much less and change it in the future to an i7 when they are much cheaper (I hope I'm not mistaken because intel changes sockets like socks and then it's very difficult to find CPUs)
From there my question is... cheap CPU for overclocking (celeron or i3)
Will my graphics card give me compatibility problems?
Will my current case give me problems?
Can I use my IDE hard drives and my IDE reader?
I also accept advice on the motherboard and RAM!!!
Thanks for your answers!

Intel already has the socket planned that will replace the 1155 (the 2011 will probably last a little longer) so don't worry, you have to update to the day and whatever comes will come. An i5 2500K performs very similarly in most tasks to the i7 2600K so I doubt you'll be interested in that update.
The RAM being cheap as it is, buy what you like and keep it. IDE beware that many boards like for example my UD4 no longer have it so you have to use SATA.

hello and welcome
the first flaw that I see is that of
the ram I will change it in the future… I will get that one to last a while...
that is throwing money away twice
what do you want the pc for? because saying that you want a micro that runs well :cold:
you don't put what model the case is
the hard drives and the ide reader …...
MSI Spain – Motherboards - Z68A-G45 (G3)
neither in the characteristics nor in the photo do I see ide connectors :mute:P.D it looks very cool but almost better write without "double space"

Hello.
As your friend says, Intel is going to change the socket, supposedly for early 2013, which will be LGA 1150, the motherboards for 1155 don't have IDE unless it's a specific model but I didn't have one.
The ram as they say you can get decent memory for around €40 or less, like gskill or corsair to mention some good brands.
The CPU, well, wanting to spend so little I would almost save and spend well and all at once and not in bits and pieces because that's the only thing you'll do is spend twice and a bit foolishly, if you don't have much budget on second hand you can always find interesting things.
You can use your graphics card perfectly, I don't know what case you have but you won't have problems if you have that board now that is ATX, putting another ATX in you'll be fine, another thing would be if it already has a decent cooling system.Regards.

Thanks for your early responses!!! ;D
I'll take your advice and save a few euros…
I had thought about getting a phenom ii but they are expensive and there's not much out there... on top of that, it's already obsolete…
the ddr 2 ram is around the clouds... and it's also obsolete :wall:
so I thought that what I would spend on a cpu and ram could get me this little monster...:llorar:
the thing about second-hand computer parts is that there are a lot of scammers and (I think) I have good components (power supply, accelerator, hd 1 tera sata) the ram is failing me and the cpu... it's starting to get a bit tight (although I can play many games with good quality)
I hope I haven't bored you too much!!!
