Well, since today is my birthday, I imagine we will raise some extra money, which I will invest either in a multimedia hard drive (the Seagate 2TB) or a graphics card (because with the 8600GTS it is already very short... so I don't know where to look, I prefer ATI, because the experience I had was already good with the 4850/70 that I had, even though they died. I've been looking and I deduce these:

      EXTERNAL MULTIMEDIA HARD DRIVE

      • SEAGATE 2TB MULTIMEDIA

      ATI

      • ATI RADEON HD7770 1GB
      • ATI RADEON HD6850 1GB
      • ATI RADEON HD6950 2GB
      • ATI RADEON HD7850 2GB

      NVIDIA

      • NVIDIA GTX560 1GB
      • NVIDIA GTX560Ti 1GB

I think the 6850, but I don't know how the 7770 is or are they very similar?

Hayo, if you don't want to spend a lot, without hesitating for 10 minutes I would get one of the Ati 5850 (the same power as the 6870) that are for 75€…

Obviously a 560Ti is superior, but we are talking about double the price for 20% more performance if it reaches...

I would have it clear! ;D

Look at this graph, the 5850 1GB is as fast as the 6870:

For a crossfire you need space, power supply, cooling, time… there are many drawbacks, I myself got another 5850 to make a crossfire and now I will return it or sell it because it has not convinced me.

A crossfire should not be recommended just like that! ;D

Esta todo comentado aqui, tirar tiraba, pero no compensaba, almenos yo notaba demasiado el microsttutering.

I've been reading all the comments on the thread by Rules (even though I didn't participate) and every time the process of buying that graphics card has moved forward, a comment made by Fassou has kept resonating in my head .

I don't know anything about graphics cards because I'm not up to date. I don't have experience because I buy one every 4 or 5 years. But Fassou's experience alone is enough for me to know that I don't want that card even if it's given to me.

Processing an RMA and not having it last more than 2 years seems like a fair price for what it costs.

Well, that depends on how you use the PC. If my PC "crashes" right now, I would have to go to the store to get a low-end one so I can keep going while the replacement process is completed. That's why, for me, it's not worth buying a product that I know has a high rate of problems, no matter how cheap it is.

Now, if the PC is used exclusively as a gaming center, then there's no problem if you go a week without a graphics card.

I had a spare HD 2400 but I gave it to my father along with my previous rig. I guess he'll be able to store the Nvidia in the closet.

If you jump to a 2500K or later to Haswell you'll have integrated and can get a refurby at your leisure :ugly:
