Convert S-Video plug with different pins
-
Hello, I need to convert any of these two plugs, 4-pin or 7-pin
to a 6-pin one that is known as 6 pin mini din, it is the same connector that is used for keyboards
I have not found any adapter that can convert it and I doubt it exists, so I think the only way, if possible, would be to put one of these 6-pin plugs on it, the modification would be on a cable with s-video 4 or 7-pin on one end (I need it to be 6-pin) and on the other end of the cable 3 RCA, does anyone know if this is possible? thank you. -
I don't know if it's related, but I think I remember that some old Dell laptops came with a connector that looked like S-Video but wasn't, and an adapter to connect with 3 RCA connectors.
Regards!

Thanks, I've seen that it wasn't going to work anyway, the problem now is with a geforce 8500gt to get the video to the TV, it appears in black and white... it seems to be a common problem in nvidea cards, I've read several possible solutions but nothing certain... best regards.

Have you tried setting the output to PAL mode?
Salu2!

Yes, with more recent drivers many of these options do not appear, but I have tried with some older ones and at least I can select PAL/B or PAL/G and the type of output (s-video, composite, components or DVI) but without result. This with a vga to rca cable, I have yet to see if it works with an s-video-rca one that I am going to buy and if it doesn't work either I think the solution is going to have to be changing to an ATI. It has to be analog, hdmi is not good enough for me, since it would be to connect it to an avsender.
Thanks, goodbye.
