[Reboots] GeForce GTX 660 problem
-
Good afternoon
Maybe you can help me because I'm going crazy.I have the GeForce GTX 660 graphics card and the power supply Approx 550W Passive
The computer works perfectly until I start any game and in less than a minute it restarts by itself. Yesterday I removed the graphics card and left the PC running using the graphics card built into the motherboard and it works perfectly with the games. My doubt is:
Is the problem with the graphics card?
Is the problem the power supply that is insufficient for that graphics card?I also tried updating the graphics card drivers, disabling the automatic restart of the computer in case of an error and reapplying thermal paste to the processor (i5 -> temp: 40 - 45º)
Can anyone help me?

Put the values of the +12V lines of that source, to document the post a bit and confirm it, but it looks like it will fall short :sisi:

+3.3V = 24A
+5V = 20A
+12V = 25A
+12v = 22A
-12V = 0.3A
+5V = 3AAccording to this report I think the power supply meets the requirements

Power requirements for graphics cardsYou can't run a card like that with a power supply marked Pavo. I'm sorry but that's just the way it is. And even if it's not the power supply, which I personally doubt, in the long run that power supply will burn out and you'll be lucky if it doesn't take a component like the graphics card with it, which is pretty common.
Bad power supplies can indicate whatever wattage they want, but the reality is usually far from what they indicate and their efficiency, effectiveness, and power are not always what they claim. There are cheap power supplies that may claim to have 500W or more and the reality is that they don't even reach 300W.
You need to change the power supply if you have any regard for your PC, which you probably do.

If this is your power supply, you'd better change it for something with Active PFC and 80+, better Bronze or higher.

PD: You also don't comment on the rest of the hardware
