Overclock E8500
-
I'm taking my first steps in overclocking, and I've set my e8500 to 3.35 GHz. Let's see, the temperature monitoring program and everything on the motherboard (an Asus P5Q-E) gives a warning with the +3.3 voltage and I don't know how to interpret it. I haven't touched the voltages, so I wonder if someone knows what could be wrong.

First of all, tell us what configuration you have for your computer apart from the motherboard and processor, because the power supply is also important and the memory is also important. You have more than enough on the motherboard to increase the clock speed of that E8500. In fact, as you can see, I have the P5Q with a Q9550 and I have increased it from 2.83 to 3.4Ghz (for now).

Hello, my Hardware Sensors Monitor also marks in red the value of some lines of the PC3 power supply of my company, but I think it is because of the power supply itself, which is mediocre, although it does not imply any known power problem anyway.
If you want to be on the safe side, take a multimeter and measure the voltage of each line of your power supply, to see what real values you get.Best regards
