Overclocking i7 950

Recently, I had some issues with my processor overheating, but that was because I was using the default cooler for the i7. Now, what I want to do is a stable OC for my i7. My configuration is as follows.
Processor: i7 950
RAM: 6GB x 1600MHZ
Graphics Card: Ati Readon 5770 HD GDRR5 1 GB
Power Supply: Sentey 850w Real
Cooler: Cooler Master TPC 812Can you please help me with some configuration that you have or someone who has the same micro if you can give me a hand here. The thing is that I was reading on the forum, but I read that the i7s depend a lot on the amount of Volt and all that stuff, and to be honest, I'm not that good at understanding and configuring it properly and efficiently, and above all, to make it stable.
