Well, I think I'm tired of paying 40 bucks for two cartridges and I'm thinking about trying the experience of filling my own cartridges. What do you think? Do you do it to save some money or don't you do it because according to the brands it can damage the printer?
Do they lower the quality a lot?

I have used unofficial brand cartridges, and I have been lucky and they have worked well for me, but I must also tell you that I have not plugged in the multifunction printer for 2 years, if I have to scan or print, copy… I do it at work. But as of today, if I had to change the cartridge, I would not buy an official one, unless it is a bargain.
Even so, it is worth the try, if you see what an official cartridge costs, and the amount of ink it comes with, you will realize that with some, not to mention most... the liter comes out more expensive than a kilo of gold, and not kidding. At the very least, the price is shocking...

I have the cartridges for the HP C4480 All-in-one and they are the XL ones, so they hold more ink, which is more expensive.
I thought about ordering it from a website and they have bottles of 100ml.
In total, it would cost me about 30 euros, and then I would have enough for several refills. The only thing that might hold me back is that they don't work well. And I'm sorry for spamming, links deleted.

A good copy shop near home is a godsend.
Best regards!

The thing is that refilling an original cartridge... can cause problems. I tried it years ago with a disastrous result, and the cartridge leaked :ugly: the cartridges would leak as soon as you put a syringe through the hole, and they would break and leak.
Can't you buy refillable cartridges from a different brand or a generic brand? Years ago I bought Pelican brand cartridges, for example, which were much cheaper than the originals and were still good. I'm sorry I can't help you more, but as I mentioned a couple of years ago I don't even have mine connected, although I keep it next to the computer to take up space jajaja
I had a colleague who years ago instead of buying cartridges would buy the whole printer on sale. I'm not kidding, he would run out of ink... so he would look for a discontinued printer, on sale or something like that, and buy it. The cost of the cartridges was almost the same as the machine, so he didn't complicate his life. Incredible but with the price of ink... Some Lexmark printers were so cheap, like €29-39 that he didn't bother buying cartridges.
Even so, there are products that are much more expensive... like water ;The cubic meter of water is less than €2... now think about what they charge you when you ask for water in some places :llorar: It's more complex, the cost includes bottling, storage, transportation, commissions, etc., but what the 20cl of water actually costs is... minimal. Do many people still believe that there are really springs to bottle millions of bottles of water a year? Another big business, especially in Spain... the smartest ones are the ones from Coca Cola, who years ago when they started selling bottled water, it wasn't even mineral or anything... in England it was treated water from the... ta-ta ta ta... Thames.

If you go to other countries like Japan, a country I was lucky enough to visit 8 years ago, if you ask for mineral water they almost look at you strangely. I've eaten in amazing restaurants and the water was tap water. Here in Spain if you ask for tap water in a bar they look at you as if you were poor... that's why I always ask for beer :ugly:
Sorry for the rant, but it's just a way to relax how some products can see their price increase by hundreds or thousands of times compared to the actual cost... But when all the companies agree, you either go along with it... or improvise :troll: so good luck with the refillable cartridges.
And as the colleague says, before spending a fortune, really look at how you use the machine. Maybe it's worth using other means if you don't print much.
PD: damn the memory I have for nonsense like the water from Coca Cola... that was almost 10 years ago, and then at work I can't even remember the computer passwords and I lock it every 3 out of 4 <:(
