Latency Configuration
-
I ordered these memos and their latencies are 9-10-9-28 as indicated there, I wanted to know if I can change it to 9-9-9 from the setup without affecting its operation, or leave it as it is..
Another thing, excuse my ignorance, but how much power can these memos consume, that is, how many watts do you recommend that my power supply currently have? I am currently using an 850w power supply from the sentey brand.

The memory consumes little and you have plenty of source, even it should be able to handle two 580s that the graphics consume much more. The thing about setting the memory to 9-9-9 will depend on how good they are, maybe they will do it or maybe by raising the voltage a little to the memory and the VCCIO, I don't have an X79 and I don't know what voltage it asks for, I suppose that for 1600 it won't even be necessary to touch it, with faster memory of 2400 it will already be necessary I suppose. -
Hello friend how are you thanks for responding for now I'm going to leave it like this I still haven't received the memos but I don't want to mess it up when I start with the pardon of the word. Regards

Hello friend, how are you? Thanks for responding. For now, I'm going to leave it like this. I still haven't received the memos, but I don't want to mess it up when I start. Sorry for the wordplay. Regards
It's okay if it doesn't start, just press the power button for 3 or 4 seconds and it will reset the bios to the default configuration. When you enter the post, it will tell you to choose F1 or F2. With F2, it stays reset, with F1 it puts the same configuration that doesn't start, but you can enter the bios or UEFI and tweak what you see. That motherboard will have XMP options that configure the memory, although I don't like it because Asus usually puts a lot of voltage. Anyway, that's under warranty.
But it's always better to configure it manually. I don't think you'll gain much by lowering that latency. It will be noticeable in benchmarks, but if the memory is a bit tight, it may perform worse in games. It's a bit more unstable with worse minimums. You should configure the voltage and latency well so that it runs smoothly.
