The HDMI Forum has presented the HDMI standard specifications in its version 2.0, which includes among other things, 4k support, without changes in current cables and connectors.
On the next 6th of September, at the IFA 2013 (Berlin), they will give a press conference so that it comes out on the evening news ;D
