Repeat Wifi Signal
-
Hello
I was Googling around the web and I ended up here...
Let's see if you can help me
In my house the 3g signal is practically nil. In the basement I have the office with the router/adsl modem. But the wifi signal only has range on that floor. I would like to know how I can repeat it to the rest of the house. So my phone would always have internet connection and would receive emails instantly in any room.
Thanks in advance
Best regards

PLC - Google You can opt for one device connected to the modem/router via LAN and the other to act as a Wifi access point on the other floor.

Hello
Thanks
I understand that the one connected to the modem/router is wired. I've had a look at your link. Do these things come with instructions? I suppose you'll have to configure something on the modem/router I don't know.....
I'm having another doubt. Can I repeat the signal that this wifi access point repeats?
Thanks again
Best regards!

Well, I've almost answered myself…..
I've seen the TP-Link 85 mbps from your link on maswifi. It says it's plug&play. And it says that the network created is scalable, from which I deduce that it can be repeated in turn. I mention this because I have 2 electrical phases in my house. Would it be possible to overcome this obstacle? How do you see it? I don't know if I've explained myself….

You must connect the two devices to the same power line for it to work, if one of those phases you call has sockets on both floors you can connect each device to one so it works. What you will have to see is where you can plug it in, at what distances, and through how many walls, will the devices that connect via wifi to that new network be. The installation is simple.

Thanks again
The 1st wifi access point would be on the same electrical circuit as the router/modem. But it wouldn't reach me to cover the whole house. The rest that would be left without range has a different electrical circuit. Hence my question of whether the signal from this 1st wifi access point can be repeated. Does anyone know if a solution can be found for this inconvenience?

Does anyone know if it's possible to repeat the wifi access point signal?

Perhaps with a PLC device that is placed in the electrical outlet.
