Patriot Viper Sector 5 memory compatibility
-
Hello guys;
new to the forum, I register because I have a question when expanding my computer (AsRock 890GM + AMD Phenom x6) with 2 modules 2x2Gb of Patriot Viper Sector 5 memory at 1600Mhz (8-8-8-24) PVV34G1600LLKwith another 2 modules of the same memory 2x2Gb Patriot Viper Sector 5 at 1333Mhz (7-7-7-20) PVV34G1333LLK
How should I proceed to equalize the speeds of these memories and not have problems with Linux (Red Hat) or Windows 7? (I use both SSOO)
Best regards and thanks!

By default, they will all run at the lowest speed. And it has nothing to do with the OS, but with the BIOS.

Thank you very much, so I'll get it, even if it lowers the speed to 1333Mhz (I don't expect it to stop performing much less) And lower the Timmings to 8-8-8-24.
Best regards and thanks!

Besides, it looks like they are modules with the same type of memory, so if you want to set it manually, you can configure it to 1600 cl8 (which would be the best) or to 1333 cl7. Basically because the memory, by lowering the latencies, allows you to increase the speed, so they sell the same thing but with a different "seal"; you can't be sure, but it usually happens.
There's no need to
