Asus M5A97 problem

Hello. I have assembled my new computer and when I turn it on, a red LED called the ''CPU LED'' appears on the motherboard. The micro and graphics fans are moving, the only ones that are not moving are the ones in the tower, although it makes a normal noise as if it were loading but without showing anything on the screen.
The motherboard is an Asus m5a97 evo r2.0, processor fx 8320 and 2x4gb g skill ripjaws x 1600. Do you know what it could be? I could only update the bios if I had another am3 micro, right?I have been looking for information all day and I would say that it will be one of these things:
- Defective motherboard
- Defective processor
- Not updated bios
- Not compatible memories
Has this happened to any of you and do you have an idea what it could be? I don't have another am3 micro so I can't test the motherboard.
