      Hello.
I am new to forums and other things on the net. I have always referred to forums to see and take the most appropriate information for my needs without participating in them. I am always paranoid about viruses and hackers and no matter how many antivirus programs I have installed, I always end up with something in the back to clean.
But now I have a situation to fix (and for once I decided to participate) and I can't see how to do (in a punctual way) what I came up with today.
So I humbly ask for guidance on this approach.

A few years ago I got a machine with a Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2P motherboard with 2gb of ram in two modules at 800
And an AMD Sempron processor, I left it to my son and he didn't demand much from it with his games or his tasks in office. He's in elementary school, but the machine didn't run at 100%, it would freeze or shut down. And so, I got advice from my brother-in-law (a computer technician) and he suggested changing the power supply to a 450w one and the processor (I got an AMD Athlon II X2 250U AD250USCK23GQ) and on my own after this suggestion I added a not very big video card GV-NX76G256D-RH GeForce 7600 GS
I added another fan to the case and it seemed to work well. 3 to 4 years without any problems. And in that state if we demanded more from it, it didn't complain.

But now that I added a pci card for WI.FI. the problems started and it finally gave up, I tried to repair it from the command line and it ended up with several viruses, system files were corrupted, etc. So I decided to format and start from scratch. The machine is all I have left after dedicating time to an unsuccessful Windows repair.

But we learn from our mistakes and so I disassembled and cleaned everything to prevent physical issues from affecting the computer. And there I found what I need to learn.
It turns out I never looked at the ram modules in detail and they are similar but NO SIR not the same

      1 ram memory kingston ddr2 KVR800D2N5/1G
      1 ram memory kingston ddr2 KVR800D2N6/1G

I have already learned about latency and rhythms and voltages in these ram matters. There are very knowledgeable and sharing people on the net. But I haven't found an article that tells me on this motherboard how I could make them work at the same rhythm.

Whether it can be done or not, whether I keep the machine or not, I would like to learn this today. After all, that's what we come here to learn or to teach if we want to transcend.
Thanks and greetings to those who participate to help me get out of my ignorance. :osvaisacagar:

I move the post to the motherboard section.

But seeing that the Motherboard is Gigabyte, it is important that you know that by default it comes with the BIOS partially hidden, so that in order to see the parameters that you will have to touch of the memory, you need to press the combination Control + F1 when you are in the main menu of the BIOS, so that those advanced fields are activated and you can touch them.

        Salu2!
