Graphics problem
-
Hello. I bought a 6870 second-hand and I have a problem. I installed it and everything was fine, I uninstalled the driver of my old graphics card, I restarted the PC and everything was fine until then. When I went to look for the new driver to download it, my PC turned off and it won't turn on with that graphics card anymore.
If I put my 280x back in, it gets stuck in the BIOS at startup, something like it turned off due to overclocking. I discovered that the PC tries to boot if I don't connect the 6-pin PCI-E connector on the right. If I don't connect any or don't connect that one, the PC boots with the graphics card fan at 100% and fails the board test when it reaches the GPU. The thing is that if I connect everything directly, it's like it doesn't get any power.
Any ideas? I've sent an email to the person who sold it to me but they haven't responded yet.
Regards

Does the new graphics card give you an image?
If so, enter the Bios, reset the default settings. Save and exit.
Start by pressing F8 and boot into safe mode, if it starts up and works well, format the PC.
Sometimes adding new hardware can cause the OS not to work.Best regards.
