Well, I've finished Child of Light (on PS4, although it's multiplatform) this "small" game that has received such good reviews and here I bring you a small review. It's a 2D platform RPG game in which we control Aurora a princess trapped in a nightmare from which we will gradually discover the story that is told in verse as a fairy tale.
The way to play is simple, we will advance through a scenario in which we will have different paths to explore in a platform way to find many enemies that will raise our level, friends who will join us in combat, secondary missions to get more objects, chests with gems and some puzzles to solve to open doors. When we engage in combat we will see that the mechanics are turn-based and in which the speed in waiting and attacking will be key since it is based on a time bar. Combat usually takes place in 2 vs 3 and you can switch characters within combat, the keys apart from the different types of characters, attacks, elements, potions and spells (of speed, defense and attack) are also in the skill improvements and gems that will enhance different aspects. In addition, we will have a small friend firefly, Igniculus, who apart from guiding us in the adventure will help us in combat by healing us or slowing down the enemy, it will be key very often and gives a touch of action to the combat (on PS4 it is controlled with the touchpad, something to appreciate). So although it is very simple for anyone who is accustomed to classic RPGs it is not a simple game in which to attack without thinking, before we will always have to analyze the situation and the enemy, especially if it is a boss, if we do not want to come out battered.
It uses the UbiArt Framework engine used in games like Rayman leaving an impressive graphic aspect, it reminds a little of other games like Okami since the whole scenario seems hand-painted, and along with the soundtrack it gives a unique set. So if you want a game to relax on the couch and have some classic role-playing battles this is yours, it's for €15 in digital download and in the deluxe version for €20 including an artbook, poster, keychain, the game code and two DLC codes (which is what I bought in the store). For that price you are guaranteed 8-10 hours of play depending on the rush you take, not counting if you replay it in "new +" which increases the difficulty and keeps the acquired skills.
The notes from the specialized press range between 8 and 9 I think very deservedly, my note is 9 without a doubt. Another example of how you don't need to spend 500 million to make a great game, that classic games never die and that a reasonable price is always a good incentive for digital download.
Greetings!

What a great review Bm4n,
it reminded me a bit of Trine, I don't know why. It seems like a light game, if it's for mac maybe I'll get it to liven up the few free hours I have left since I started working for the evil corporations XDMeanwhile, I'm still waiting for the steambox
Greetings gamers!

Every day I hate you a little more but with affection.
By the way the trine 2 seems very entertaining to me, bm4n let's see if I get this one that you have already told me a couple of times.
