Following a tedious fight with a Vaio SVE with W8 preinstalled, which refused to restore and accept an installation from a DVD (incompatibility with spt partitions), I have deemed it necessary to explain how to create a USB stick that allows us to boot and install the OS without needing to change the boot in the BIOS from UEFI to Legacy, and then having to partition the hard drive with the consequent loss of information (1).

      • First, the USB stick. The faster, the better, and of a size adequate to hold the 4 GB of necessary files. A 6 GB stick is recommended.
      • Then we will use Rufus to format it SPT and include the image of the OS we want to install.
      • For the OS image, we will forget about P2P programs and files of dubious content and origin: we will go directly to Microsoft and download it using the appropriate Media Creation Tool.

      For Windows 7

      For Windows 8.1

For Windows 10 (performing a clean installation using the license of our W7 or W8 / 8.1)

Once the volume is created, simply indicate the boot from optical drive or USB. Plug in the device and restart. The installation is carried out without any further problems. ;D

Edit: Seeing the amount of nonsense that is coming to me for following certain pages and videos "hesplicatibos", which instead of this alternative only create diskpart kamikazes.

      (1) It should be noted that partitioning the hard drive will cause us to lose all the information contained in it, including the hidden recovery partitions in the case of computers with the OS preinstalled.
Unless we really know what we are doing, it is better to install in the mode in which it is found without altering the partition system.
