Hello comrades, I have a question: if I install an SSD on an old MSI motherboard with RAID = enabled in the BIOS without AHCI and SATA2, could it give me better performance than the IDE bus?

Hello,
I already did that trick, and I only managed to waste the performance that the SSD was capable of giving.
Moreover, in one case I was forced to remove the SSD because the performance was directly bad.Personally, I would not install an SSD on a motherboard without SATA3 support, it is a waste of performance.
Best regards

Man, given the prices of SSDs now, and if you don't expect miracles, you can try to see if the performance increases, but as Sylver says, you're not going to scratch much.
That said, look for a cheap one, it doesn't matter if it's a v200 or v300, get the cheapest one and at least 128gb.
