Problems with a Cooler Master EP5-6l11 heatsink

Tngo un athlon 1333 (d esos k casi no se calientan ) con ste disipa y el ventilador d serie, lleva funcionando unos 6 meses ininterrumpidamente y desde hace un par d semanas hace un ruido infernal (aun + dl k hacia ants, k ya era bastant). Es posible k se haya roto, o k se haya ensuciado el eje y x eso hace tanto ruido?
Otra cosa, mirando n la pagina d cooler master las caracteristicas d ste disipa he visto k el ventilador gira a 4500rpm, sin embargo el mio siempre ha ido a unas 6000-6500rpm aprox. Un error d la pagina o es k mi placa base sta fatal d lo suyo?
