Problem with the 2.6 kernel modules

En concreto con los módulos bttv y el de la tarjeta de red, el forcedeth. El caso es que no me los carga cuando ejecuto el xawtv para ver la tele ni el forcedeth al arrancar el ordenador que siempre sale eth0 failed. Lo raro es que si los cargo a mano funcionan, en el caso del forcedeth luego tengo que ejecutar el comando dhcpcd para que pille la ip del servidor, y en el archivo /etc/modules.conf tengo puesto estas líneas:
alias eth0 forcedeth
alias char-major-81-0 bttv
options bttv card=13y otros módulos como el de ntfs para leer las particiones sí que me los carga. ¿Que es lo que falla?

Bueno, ya lo he resuelto simplemente copiando las mismas líneas que tenía en /etc/modules.conf que hacían referencia al bttv en el archivo /etc/modprobe.conf y la tarjeta de red he borrado la configuración y vuelto a crearla y ya funciona.
No sabía que había que poner lo mismo en el archivo modprobe.conf
