Doubts with AGP Vs PCI-E benchmarks

Comparando placas de video para adquirir una nueva (los que hayan leido el hilo "Artifact en 9700" sabran porque), me puse a ver distintos benchmarks de placas AGP y PCI-E y me surgieron algunas dudas. En 3DMark 2005 los modelos que existen tanto para AGP como para PCI-E, bajo las mismas condiciones (4xAA / 8xAF / 1024x768/32 bits) en PCI-E marcan el doble que las AGP. Esta diferencia al usarla para juegos en que se nota?.
Una Radeon 9700Pro (AGP)que marca 1537 y una X600 XT (PCI-E) que marca 1508 van a tener un rendimiento similar?
