These are the kind of things that make you feel old,
Horror games are not my favorites, but the trailer for this one looks amazing.

I think we have it as a myth because of how big it was in its day due to the lack of supply, at the level of Duke Nukem or Quake I (which evolved a bit more). I don't know if it will break it or if it will just be an anecdote.

Hexen had a much bigger impact on me, it came out shortly after Doom 2. Too bad I didn't know about Baldur's Gate back then.
I went crazy when I put headphones on the CD player while playing Alone in the Dark and started hearing voices… Such an immersive game with audio was a big deal. Back then, you had to fight with boot CDs to get the games to run, Sound Blasters were for the rich xD
I doubt I'll play it. How's 3? If it's about substitutions and killing bugs, then I'm out.
I'm waiting for 2 games, Mirror's Edge 2 and The Witcher 3. I'll start playing Daylight that I've been given, I'll see if I can find time to play Guild Wars 2 competitively as it takes up most of my gaming time, I still have Assassin's Creed parked.

We're not old, we were just very young back then

Doom 3 was all about graphics and darkness, but overall it was weak, with a few funny moments when some more original bugs appeared, but once you got past the graphics engine issue, it left you a bit indifferent :llorar:

This new Doom 4, without Carmack  … let's hope that Bethesda sends help and surprises us pleasantly <:(

Doom 3 was a long, monotonous game, with very repetitive scenarios (FEAR is similar in these little things), but I had fun with it, and it scares me a lot. We'll see how the new Doom looks and if they don't decide to release one per year, although I don't expect them to leave it for another 10 years

Greetings, gamers!!
