How do you see this configuration for a new PC?
-
I have decided to change my E5300 which is already worn out and can no longer handle games, and I am looking at configurations, perhaps the configuration in AMD is not the best solution, but I would rather spend more on graphics and less on processor, with a view to demanding games. What do you think? Would you change anything?
-
Well, to be honest, I don't think it's logical to skimp on the processor, motherboard, or memory in order to spend more on graphics. This way, the computer ends up being unbalanced and prone to future bottlenecks.
I know it's almost 200€ more expensive, but you'll have a PC for a while ;D and with very good overclocking options.
It includes 2 500Gb sata3 drives for Raid 0, the graphics card is 2GB, which will be essential for gaming in time (and also comes with 2 free games ;D), the RAM is 1600Mhz CL7 instead of the 1333Mhz you had, the case offers better cooling and better connectivity, the keyboard/mouse, if it's for gaming, is better wired... for the rest, it's pretty much the same as what you had.
Also, I've noticed that there has been a price increase in the same components, but that's a matter of fine-tuning by looking around in several stores or better yet, directly in others, because PCComponentes seems to be failing more often lately than a carnival shotgun :mudo:Best regards.

I'll take a look at your setup, my budget is around 900€
Thanks
anyway, is an AMD setup far from the core i5? Surely it's something more economical...

As of today, the I5 2500K is the processor that makes a difference (the 2600K is already out of price range). It goes to 3.3 but overclocks to about 5.0-5.3, few reach 5.5. But with that overclock, imagine how it performs

I used to skimp on another component. AMD doesn't perform at the same level. If it's out of your price range, use components from your current PC, like the DVD reader, the case... or buy a cheaper graphics card. The ATI 5850 is around 110-120€ and performs quite well.
For the power supply, I recommend the Corsair TX650W Version 2, which is quite good and can easily handle high-end graphics cards.
You can also buy a cheaper motherboard, for just over 100€ there are some very good ones, you don't need to spend 140.
You can even reuse the hard drive from your current computer, the monitor... but the micro is something to buy today, if possible... it's the 2500K. If not, believe me that you won't save that much by building a complete PC. You can save about 100 Euros by buying an AMD 4-core + a motherboard that AMD's can cost a little less; and if you buy a Six Core, the discount will be around 50 Euros. But the I 2500K crushes any AMD, especially in terms of gaming.

Well I think I have it now, a bit more tight than the one you uploaded... what do you think?
Regarding using things from my current pc, my brother will inherit it, except for one of the two hard drives that will come with me to the new
Will the source be able to handle that graphic?

I'm not up to date on motherboards, but you might be able to save some euros with a cheaper one that still allows you to overclock well. Let's see what people think

Don't put a Green drive as a system drive, they are slower. They are only used to store data, not as a system drive. If you're short on euros, then put the Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB which is cheap and performs very well; and in the future you can add another hard drive for storage.
You won't regret buying the I 2500K; and the 5850 Extreme is the best in its price range. The other graphics cards that perform similarly go for 140-160€ and to notice a bigger difference you have to spend practically double on a graphics card.
I understand that you intend to overclock the computer over time, which is why we recommend the I 2500 K and a decent motherboard; although without overclocking it's already a great micro. You can leave it at stock speed and when you learn to OC you can increase it. It's easy to overclock, and it does it like a breeze

oops, my mouse went with the green one, I wanted the one at the top
which is the normal Seagate 1TB for 53€It's going to be my first experience putting together a pc completely, I've always done it in parts, changing the hard drive, the graphics card, the processor, the fan, but never everything at once, let's see if they give me some more opinions and I order it, at pccomponentes is where I'm finding the things most sorted by price...

Assembling it is not difficult, if you make sure to connect the cables properly it is a piece of cake. Remember to buy a good thermal paste to put between the micro and the heatsink. It will cost you about 5€ and you will have enough for several uses.
Wait a little to see if someone has a different opinion, for sure someone will answer you at night. Let's see if someone can recommend us a cheaper but decent motherboard.
Ciao.

As amd_125 rightly says, you can reduce that budget by taking advantage of your hard drive and buying another exactly the same to set up a RAID 0, a Barracuda green for a gamer PC doesn't seem enough to me.
You can cut costs by getting the 6950 with 1 Gb or the 5850 that they recommend, you can also change the RAM for some with 1333, etc...The power supply is sufficient, it's not the same 600w from a generic one as from a quality one.
Like amd_125, I also prefer the TX650W but I saw that it was way over budget :p.
That power supply you put isn't modular so you'll have all the cable mess in the middle whether you use them or not, that's why I left you the Tacens because it's modular and although it's not the "best in class" it's very valid.Best regards.
-
In the end, this is what I'm going to ask for. I thank you for being so great, if I have any doubt about the assembly, I will ask you

-
You will be left with a very nice team and you will notice a big jump in performance.
As a note in case you have not noticed... the RAM you have chosen is CL9 and not CL7, they are the same but they are not the same ;).
That Barracuda is very quiet and over time you will always be able to add a "companion".
You will already tell us how everything performs.;D ;D. -
I've looked at some of the components you mention and they are indeed expensive...
MERCADO ACTUAL. Computer Store. The best prices and offers on Computers, TV, laptops, PCs and monitors at MERCADOACTUAL.es and Acuista.com> Store of Laptops, Computers, TVs, Digital Cameras, iPod, MP3, Printers, Consumables, Appliances and Wines. have those same parts cheaper...
Check it out before buying from the first site you see, maybe it's cheaper to get it elsewhere.

I have already received everything, it took me a while to order it, but let's get to it
