      Good afternoon,

Recently my computer "died" (with the affection I had for it u.u) and I decided to gather my courage and build one, since I understand that it is cheaper and you spend money on what is really necessary.

Well, I have decided on the following:

      -Processor: INTEL CORE i7 960 3.2 GHZ SK1366 8MB = 221.96€

-Motherboard: I am not very knowledgeable about this, I know it has to fit with the Microprocessor, what could you recommend me? I have seen this one: INTEL CORE i7 ASUS SABERTOOTH X58 SK1366 DDR3 PCX = 188.76€ but better if there is something that works the same, better or even worse, but that works well and is a more reduced price (this one seems a bit pricey to me).

-Power supply: I do not know what W I need… I hope someone can tell me after listing the components that, in principle, I want to buy ?

      -HDD: 1 TB MAESTRO DE SISTEMA SATA2 WESTERN DIGITAL 64MB = 48.64€

      -RAM: 2x MEMORY 2 GB DDR3 1333 KINGSTON = 2x15.71 = 31.42€

      -DVD reader/writer: LG DVD-R/+RW GH22NS40 22X SATA BLACK = 24.50€

-Graphics: I am in doubt between: 1GB ASUS GTX560 TI PCX DDR5 HDMI or 1GB ASUS GTX460 PCX DDR5 HDMI (that is, between the GTX560 TI with two fans or the GTX 460). The 1st = 244.18€ and the 2nd = 192.41€

      -Cooler: 1366 XILENCE LGA I7 HP = 22.92€

-Case: I would like some recommendation, the one that has caught my attention the most (not for the design, but for the capacity, although the design is not bad) is: NOX Coolbay 25 V2 Black - Case/Tower = 46€

      Clarifications:

-The prices are all except the PC case from PcBox, which is a reliable store with good prices and close to my house (I don't like buying online much). The case is from PcComponentes (I think, unless in the physical store of PcBox they tell me they will bring it, I will buy it in PC Componentes or another website or store that you can recommend...)

-My budget is a maximum of 850 Euros.

-The doubt about the graphics is whether it is worth spending 50 Euros more and buying the GTX560 TI instead of the GTX460

I am open to all kinds of suggestions, otherwise, why ask? xD

      I have some doubts:

-In the motherboard, is it true that a sound card and an internet card are generally integrated?

-I would like to connect the computer via Wi-Fi, do I have to buy something else, or does it already come with the motherboard?

-I have been told that it is better to have 2 Hard Drives of 500 and set them to "I don't know what" mode to make them faster, and also install the OS on one and use the other for "my things". Is this true?

      Thanks in advance,

      Best regards,

      Vicsangre.

So I'll tell you roughly with PCcomponentes prices

Intel 2500K micro, performs very well and is cheaper than the one you mentioned. 189€ Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3Ghz Box Socket 1155 BX80623I52500K

Motherboard something like Asrock for example, starting at 120€ Asus P8P67-M PRO B3 90-MIBELA-G0EAY0DZ Mother Board

        Power supply: 80€ this Corsair Corsair TX650 V2 650W CMPSU-650TXV2 Power Supply

Graphics: If you don't want to spend much and get similar performance to the 460 GTX the ATI 5850 EXTREME 119€ Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Xtreme 1GB GDDR5 11162-15-20G Graphics Card

Memory: 4 Gigas or 8… I would put 4 for now, which will be fine for gaming. As for price... there are many, but starting at 35-40€

The case, DVD... depending on your preferences.

If you buy two identical hard drives you can make Raid 0 and practically double the speed, but if one drive fails you lose the information...

Motherboards generally have audio and input for the router cable. If you want Wifi, some come with an antenna and others you have to buy it but it's not very expensive.

        Regards.

In summary, the Intel 2500K is a better micro, and cheaper; in addition, the motherboard for the I2500K is cheaper than for an I7. If you put an I7 you should put 3 memory modules, for tri-channel... and with an I5 only 2 because it's dual-channel.

          Better this:

          Custom budget. PcComponentes.com

Shipping is not paid when you order assembled and being a whole computer, the assembly will be very cheap for you.

Thanks to both of you for responding ? I've looked at both of you, although I don't control much of the truth and I don't know what to say ? A great detail from both of you for looking for other components for me.

The truth is that the assembly thing scared me a bit, I've never built a "compu" and I don't trust my abilities much yet hehe

Your configuration, Obione, I like it, it's a good price and from what I've seen in your other posts you know about the topic (in fact I found the forum looking for information about a component and I saw a configuration of yours from a while ago and the person who posted seemed satisfied) would that configuration be good for a Gamer? I forgot to mention that detail, I play MMOs and stuff, WoW and LoL style, and I'm building the PC thinking about having good gaming speed and good image quality (FPS and stuff)

And another thing, the WI-Fi card ¿is it a normal one or with something like "extra range"? I know that there are some with more power to catch the Wi-Fi, and I wouldn't mind a more powerful one than the standard (I think I read/heard that they are characterized by 3 "no se que" which would be the standard and that then there are some of 6 and more, what do you think and know about it?

By the way, I love the case a lot, and I see that it's big and can fit two front fans.

In principle I'll stick with yours Obione. Do you know how long it would take to bring everything already assembled and stuff? I have very tight dates with the holidays, that's why I'm thinking of ordering it now if it takes little time or waiting.

Thanks again to both of you, you've been very helpful.

            ¡A greeting!

if you play the official wow I think the most important thing is to have an ssd hard drive. when you move from one place to another if you have a normal drive sometimes it lags when it reads data from the drive… I suppose you know what I mean.

about the wifi topic ….. you have cards with one, two, and three antennas, but what usually makes the difference is the chip. In any case, to connect to your modem, I don't think you need a very powerful one. And if it's to connect to someone else's, well...... :nono: you have specific forums for this on the net with tutorials and everything, but here I think no one will help you ? as for the range, the higher the mW, the better, and make sure it's compatible with your modem's standard

incrediboy, I know what you mean, but I used WoW as an example, I don't usually play much anymore, I'm more into games with "isolated matches" of 3vs3 and 5vs5 now, but thanks for the info ?

CNCBCN thanks for the reply, it's pretty clear. No, it's not to "steal" the neighbor's Wi-Fi or anything like that ? I live in a big house and the router is on the other side, although seeing that the cards are not very expensive, if it goes wrong, I can get another more powerful one.

If you don't select any out-of-stock components and it turns out to be something difficult to restock, they are pretty quick to assemble and ship.

I don't have much control over the Wi-Fi but it's "n", the latest protocol that has come out. What you can do is buy it in a physical store which will be much more convenient for you to change it if it doesn't work. As long as you don't have to go through forged or thick walls, I don't think you'll have a problem.

By the way, I put 2 disks to assemble a Matrix RAID 0+1. It can be a bit dizzying if you don't know the controller but it's not complicated and once assembled you forget about it. It improves the performance in the system and allows you to have the data backed up so that if a disk breaks you don't lose it.

if by "isolated matches" you mean rated arenas, I assure you that the difference is noticeable. It's a way of playing where reaction time is crucial, and since the hard drive takes the minimum time, you can mess things up pretty good. I don't know what level you play at, but I played 3v3 in cyclone at a rating of 2800 in season 9, my SSD broke and I was pulling my hair out because of the lag from the normal hard drive.

CNCBCN thanks for the reply, it's actually pretty clear. you have to check what protocol your router uses (g, n…) and make sure it has the same or the same and the newer ones (in case you change the router tomorrow, you don't have to change the card). What makes the difference between one card and another is the chip (d-link atheros etc.) and the power of reception and emission. They sell some with built-in amplifier (they are usb) and they are the most recommended for hacking networks ? for two reasons: A the chip is the fastest (functions per minute) B they are the most powerful in "mW" and C the antenna is detachable (you can mount a "homemade" one like pringles or better). Also, consider talking to your Internet provider (about updating the router). I know of a case where with the one I had before (router) I would lose connection every two by three, they updated the router and the problem was solved ?

Well, something similar to WoW arenas. I don't know how these SSD hard drives work, do you have to install the OS on the SSD? Are they compatible with SATA? I see that they have little memory and are quite expensive, so I suppose you'll have to put the games that require more speed on the SSD, but it's a guess, I'm saying I have no idea.

About the network card, I meant the Db, the basic ones are 3Db I think, and given the distance from my room to the router, it wouldn't hurt to get a maximum signal. is the one in the config 3Db?

Thanks again to everyone, you're helping me a lot ?
