Problem with the plate
-
Good morning everyone, I have seen that in this forum you control the topic of overcloking quite well and since I have just started in this world, I need a little help, I have an intel quad processor q6600
and I want to overclock it, the problem is not there, it is that my motherboard (asus p5kpl/1600) does not give me the necessary options to carry it out, I have a profile that lets me overclock it up to 20%, but of course, with 2.88ghz I am not satisfied :D, so, if anyone has it or knows about it, what can I do to find those menus, because I have been wandering around the BIOS for hours and nothing at all, just voltages and little more..
thank you very much. -
Pressing control + f1 doesn't bring up anything either?

my mistake…
I've seen tutorials on this website, and it seems that the tutorials I watched were for old motherboards, even so, I still don't understand much about how to do it... -
Keep reading, then block PCI E frequency to 100 Mhz so they remain independent of the FSB, don't raise much at once while controlling temperature, I suppose you'll have a good heatsink?… and in principle don't touch the voltages as that is the most delicate part.
Salu2 -
ok I'll change the pci frequency now, thank you very much kernel, for the moment I won't touch anything, because I still don't have the heatsink, does the spinq vt seem good to you, or is there one that you think is better, it's that my case is red with leds and it fits her ñamñam... I'm waiting for your response

First time I see it, if you have to buy it I don't recommend it, apart from the small fan I see that it blows air in all directions, ruining the flow that is supposed to be in the case, and if you already have one you can do something, better than the one that comes with it I suppose.
About recommending one… I don't know, the last one I mounted was this Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-GP Fan/Cooler and from here on up it depends on the budget.

no, I still haven't bought it, but I'm saying that one because it wasn't a fan, it was a turbine, and in the pictures and videos it showed that it cooled between 10 and 15º more than others (I don't know if that's a lot or a little), I'm on a budget of between 50 and 60 euros, if you can recommend one to me I would appreciate it a lot since I'm super excited to overclock already!!!
aaa!! and if it can be multisocket, I looked at that one too because of that detail. -
Well now you've got me because it's been about 7 or 8 months since I've looked at any comparisons, so wait and see if someone recommends one to you because I'm out of date.

I suppose the topic is closed, I will ask around about the heatsink
