Xfx GTX260 HELP! I've messed up the bios
-
hello, have you tried undervolting the gtx but using the mb's graphics. if you get the system to boot like that, then it's just a matter of updating the gtx's bios. what i don't quite understand is, why if you've done an oc via software, why did you touch the bios? i use smart doctor and i'm happy (ok, it's not a marvel but it's safe

-
let's see …. when you modified the graphics card's bios, exactly what did you put in?
-
by parts, use nitbitol and mvflas, and copy original bios with gpuz
tell me you left it = nvidia pci-e 260 gtx
vendor xfxfactory values
ultra: core 640 shader 1380 memory 1000
3d: core 400 shader 800 memory 300
thrtl: core 000 shader 000 memory 000
2D: core 300 shader 600 memory 100values to which it was:
ultra: core 676 shader 1418 memory 1108
3d: core 410 shader 822 memory 319
thrtl: core 000 shader 000 memory 000
2D: core 307 shader 613 memory 130voltages =
less 3d from 1.05 to 1.06values to which it changed when the disaster happened:
tra: core 658 shader 1399 memory 1062
3d: core 422 shader 882 memory 330
thrtl: core 000 shader 000 memory 000
2D: core 364 shader 652 memory 250voltages =
less 3d from 1.05 to 1.06i reinstalled drivers restarted and it doesn't take it as gtx260 it still is gtx295
i made a room with the original values changing as if it were 295 to see if it loads bios -
solved thanks
I messed up with the 295 by loading the config of the 260
thanks

I was getting desperate searching for nitbitol on the net

more or less what you did was this, right? Modify the Bios of an nvidia graphics.
I assume you have tried to put your serial bios (the one you are supposed to have saved) with the nvflash. You can also try to put the bios of the 295 with the values of the 260 but I doubt you will be able to recover that graphics card
edit: well, I'm glad, thank goodness my pessimism was not fulfilled :D:D -
if + o - is what I did, simpler because it's an older graphic, I suppose because there are steps I couldn't take xDDD
what I did in the end is load the original bios of the 260 by creating a new rom and simply saying yes, that it is a 295, restart and voila!
260 restored xDDD
-
pues nada, a disfrutar esa doble GPU :D:D:D -
Take advantage of it friend, I'm glad you were able to save that wonder.
-
could you explain why exactly you modified the bios? if the graphics card does not have any voltage limitation or similar, there are usually no problems to overclock it via software
-
It's simple, for convenience, for bios it's automatic, and for software, I have to keep an eye on the program, activate, deactivate, load the program, configuration etc etc.I left it with the values of the first oc:
ultra: core 676 shader 1418 memory 1108
3d: core 410 shader 822 memory 319
thrtl: core 000 shader 000 memory 000
2D: core 307 shader 613 memory 130and the micro a e6550 at 2.33 oc to 2.80 for bottleneck, which I have seen firsthand, as after a while playing, the frames dropped to 15 or 20 or something like that, until there was not so much movement...
and I'm thinking about getting a cheap quad core... -
well I don't know, what you gain on one hand you lose on the other, having the overclocked graphics to look at things on the Internet I don't see it... and by the time you get to playing you put in the OC and that's it. but anyway, if it works well for you.

-
yes, I have tried several programs to make oc by software but in the end this is what convinces me the most, and it works well xDDDD
so there is no problem xDDD
that is, by software I would not have had this problem…. but thank you
