Update my PC
-
Hello everyone, it's been a while since I last connected because of exams, so I don't know how the hardware market is doing.
I'll give you a bit of an update on what I want to do and you can give me your opinions and recommendations, which are always helpful
This summer, my motherboard broke after almost 3 years of use, it wasn't a big deal, so I went the whole summer without a computer, which was good for passing the September exams, (I'm getting a bit sidetracked but now I'll get back to the important stuff:p) anyway, now I've bought a mid-range motherboard (50€)
and I built a computer for my mother to have in the living room, and now with the graphics card, the case and the power supply, I want to build another one and this is what I've found, my budget was 300 euros but I went over and it's about 460.For the processor, I got an i5 2500k which I saw as good

For the motherboard, an asrock p67extreme4 p67-b3
[Motherboard ASRock P67 EXTREME4 P67-B3 1155 DDR3 / Sata 3 / USB3.0](Motherboard ASRock P67 EXTREME4 P67-B3 1155 DDR3 / Sata 3 / USB3.0)
For memory, some g.skill sniper ddr31866 8gb CL9
http://www.pccomponentes.com/g_skill_sniper_ddr3_1866_pc3_14900_8gb_2x4gb_cl9.html
and finally, for the hard drive, I got a western digital 1t sata 3 64 mb cache which would be this:
http://www.appinformatica.com/discos-duros-western-digilat-1tb–sata3-64mb---caviar-green.phpI think this is good and the price is good, I can't go higher because I don't have enough saved

This would be assembled in a cooler master haf 922 case with the ocz fatal1ty 550 modular power supply and would have a gts 250 installed which I would like to change but later on.
Thanks in advance and forgive me if I have any spelling mistakes but I'm using a keyboard that's running low on battery :nono: -
What I see as most unbalanced is the hard drive, which is a "green". These drives are good for storage but not for the system, they offer little performance. Of course, at the price that drives are lately...
The rest is fine if you want it for OC or to give it a hard time with games. And if, as you say, you change the graphics card later, you'll have a very nice computer.
Best regards

+1 to Nemo.
What you need is either a single "black" or a duo of an SSD for the OS + a "green" for storage, or even the latter a "blue". You can play with the size to adjust the price, which is your main burden.
Although it's the same again, HDD prices are skyrocketing wherever you look…Regards

Thanks to both of you for responding. As the market is now, I think I'll get a green or blue and then for kings I ask for an ssd which seems to be going down
also there is a possibility of getting a black one but with low capacity if there are any which I don't know, it's a matter of looking, I use the computer mostly for gaming not sure if this data can be useful to you. -
Well, for what you have left for kings... throw as you can with the green and then you plug in an SSD and then fresco. No it's worth getting magnetic disks and so on the fly I think the price/giga ratio is worse for the small capacity ones.
Best regards.

Well for what you have left for kings... throw as you can with the green and then you plug in an SSD and it's all good.
+1
In the end that is the ideal configuration that sooner or later you should put in :sisi:

Thanks to you both again ;D
Well, it seems to me that the first thing I'm going to get is the album because at the rate they're going, they're going to be sky-high:( -
Hi Pablo, could you get the GEN3 and you will ensure full compatibility with Ivy. As for drives, I would be happy with a Crucial M4 128GB and wait for the magnetic ones to come down in price. The memory is very little, you could buy 8GB 1600 for 45€ without any problem.

Thanks for responding
The thing about the plate being gen3 or not, I didn't know it, thanks for telling me;D, regarding the ram zero quw sifo.xon the same and regarding the disk I have found one of 1.5tb caviar green that is verybiwn priced and then I will buy the ssd which I hope will come down a bit. By the way, has any of you ever ordered from amazon uk? If so, I have some questionsPd: I have written all this with my mobile so I couldn't write the accents:nono:
