Overlock q8300
-
To overclock the quad to 2.5 Ghz how should I set the different characteristics to achieve stable 3 Ghz?
-
looking at a few guides is a very good base

After I watched some tutorials and stuff before getting a good heatsink I'll try with these parameters:
400 Mhz
Dram frequency 1333 Mhz
Voltage CPU 1.3VLet's see if I can get it to 3Ghz stable like this, if anyone sees that I have put a parameter wrong or to improve it please say so thanks ^^

well I don't know ….. it's kind of like if you tell me that you're going to buy the number of the blind XXXXXX I stay the same
edit the signature or at least put which team you have, because if not.... -
Sorry xD, my equipment is:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.50GHz
8,00 GB DDR3 1333 Mhz
ASRock P43DE3
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450
Source 500wregards!

what is that "500w source"? brand? model? amperage of the 12v line? efficiency?
i don't know, i see that many data are missing, like to know if it's valid or not, not to mention the stock dissipation that in those micros barely gives margin to overclock.

My power supply is:
COLORS IT 500W (from a few years ago) I have no idea of its characteristics.
The heatsink is the standard one but I have to buy another one, at the moment I was testing and such with the DDR3 memory of 1333 Mhz when I increase the CPU frequency to 400 Mhz there is no way to put the memory to 1333 Mhz unless I increase the 'fsb to mch' and put it to 1600 Mhz but I am new to overclocking and I have no idea anyone knows how to put the CPU frequency to 400 Mhz and the memory to 1333? Or if I have to put the fsb to 1600 Mhz to go from 400 Mhz?
thanks^^

could you take photos of the bios? without knowing how much you can configure your motherboard it's difficult to know.
there must be some ram multiplier that you can modify, could you look at the options it lets you set?
EDIT: i've been looking into it (it sounded familiar to me that in my particular junk heap there was one of those color it...) and your power supply has 300w real (25 amps on the 12v line). considering the consumption of your pc that power supply is already very tight, and if you overclock it that power supply won't hold up. i recommend that you get a quality one before trying anything. :nono:

The multiplier reaches 7.5, it can't go up anymore, because I'm going to keep testing, and see what I do with the source xDDD Thanks

Edit: HIGH-TECH. SOURCE 700W CE ACTIVE PFC 12X12 this source is pretty good quality/price?
