The new version of Skype for Android allows you to share photos and videos
-
The Skype team has announced the launch of a new version for Android devices, which includes as the main novelty the possibility of sending all types of images, files and videos at no additional cost through WiFi or 3G connections.
“Now it is even easier to share with your loved ones the most special moments or send and view work documents during business trips”, says Virginia Romero, head of the Skype blog in Spanish.
Another of the great improvements of this version is the reduction of battery consumption, an issue that until now has been a headache for Android users. The quality of the videos has also been improved, although only on devices with a Tegra 2 chip.
Skype has also reported that they are still working to expand the list of devices that support videos, to which the HTC Amaze 4G, Motorola Droid 4 and Motorola Droid Razr smartphones have just been added.
These improvements are added to the typical functionalities of Skype such as sending and receiving instant messages or making calls to landlines and mobiles.
The new version Skype 2.6 for Android is now available in the Android Market.
