Anonymous hacks a security company and gives the money to charity
-
The hacker group Anonymous has once again challenged security systems on the net by stealing credit card data worth a million dollars, which they have donated to various causes.
The company attacked, Straffor, was one of the targets that the group had included in their list. Paradoxically, it is a company specialized in security and that has committed a serious error: the credit card data were not encrypted.
Among Straffor's private clients are the US Army, the Miami police department, some banks and companies like Apple or Microsoft. The stolen money has been allocated to organizations such as the Red Cross, Care or Save The Children.
Although there is doubt about the authorship of the attack, the Twitter account @YourAnonNews, supposedly related to the group of cyberactivists, published several messages that gave clues about what happened.
The group's next targets point to Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, among others.
PD: Justice or injustice?
