OCZ will present its new generation R5 Z-Drive disks.
-
Aimed at professional solutions, this fifth generation is expected to double the performance of the recently announced R4.
OCZ's new professional and scalable drive models have been developed in collaboration with Marvell and under OCZ's VCA 3.0 platform, which allows for SSD system controller virtualization for more seamless and scalable operation.
The new models are compatible with Linux, Windows, MacOS operating systems and VMware ESX and ESXi-based virtualization environments. They will be available in both full-height and low-profile solutions with MLC, eMLC, and SLC NAND configurations. Capacities will be up to 12TB.
OCZ expects these new models to double the processing power of its previous generation, but there will be no data until its official presentation at CES.

Instead of doubling power, they should double reliability. Revodrives are failing..:nono:
Best regards

Instead of bending power, they should bend reliability. Revodrives are failing..:nono:

And it's a real shame, really. With the good investment that an SSD can be and with so many people backing down because of the amount of failures that have been seen lately in the OCZ models.
Fortunately, other brands are responding…Regards
