Corsair announces its new Obsidian 550D and Carbide 300R cases

The company Corsair has announced the expansion of its catalog of PC cases with the introduction of two new models, called Obsidian 550D and Carbide 300R. The first of these has dimensions of 530 x 220 x 495 mm, and has four external 5.25-inch bays, six internal ones for 3.5/2.5-inch drives, eight PCI expansion slots, anti-dust filters with magnetic support, and a front connection panel with two USB 3.0 ports and audio jacks for headphones and microphone. For its part, the Carbide 300R model has dimensions of 485 x 210 x 449 mm, and has three external 5.25-inch bays, four internal ones for 3.5/2.5 inches, seven PCI expansion slots, and the same connectivity options on the front. In terms of cooling, the Obsidian 550D incorporates three 120mm fans, two in the front and one in the back, while the Carbide 300R only comes with two 120mm units, one in the front and one in the back.
The new Corsair Obsidian 550D and Carbide 300R are backed by a two-year warranty, support graphics cards up to 450mm, and will arrive in stores in February with prices of $159 and $89 respectively.
