Samsung decides to integrate its Bada OS into Tizen
-
The vice president of content planning at Samsung has confirmed that his company will merge its Bada OS with the open source Tizen project, although the date is not known.
The future of Bada has been uncertain until now. Today, however, it has been learned that Samsung has the ambition to make its Bada operating system really powerful (to compete with Android?) and has seen in Tizen (a project that is part of the Linux Foundation) the opportunity to carry out its plans.
The integration of the operating systems will not prevent both from operating autonomously, according to some sources. Thus, Bada would be destined for lower-end mobile phones and single-core processor, while Tizen would be oriented towards more advanced devices.
