Mini review xigmatek 170 aero cool 14

my two latest acquisitions:
aerocool shark 14 black edition
xigmatek cooling system xlf series 170

the packaging of both is correct, in terms of accessories both come with the same: 4 silver screws, 4 rubber anti-vibration stoppers and a molex to three-pin connector adapter. the aero cool also includes a 26.5 cm cable with a resistor to reduce the RPM to 800
cables and finishes
the sigmatek:
it lacks parsimony: cables without mesh, no molex power adapter, semi-transparent white :nono: the finishes of the fan itself are the usual ones: black transparent plastic body and clear transparent blue blades. unlike all the other fans, the leds are not placed inside "drill holes" but the plastic has some slots in which they are placed. for reasons that escape my understanding, instead of the typical four legs this fan has 8 ( I'm thinking about cutting off four )
stickers: nothing outstanding, the brand in the front and the brand, date of manufacture, voltage and amperage in the back, nothing that does too much damage to the eyes
the aerocool:
cables are tangled in black, almost matte for the fan and shiny for the RPM reducer cable (it looks like a slug and is very friendly to dust ):nono: the terminals are all black from the TKG brand
the fan body is black between matte and shiny (it's not a tacens, those shiny blacks) the blades in shiny black with an aerodynamic shape specially designed in the form of a "shark fin" I've been looking at my 15 shark fins for 10 minutes and thinking who is the fool if I'm the one who bought it or the guy who designed it.
stickers: the brand in the front and a beautiful "shark" that cracks up laughing in your face. the brand, voltage and amperage in the back

conclusions:

an aero cool costs 8.56 and a xigmateg 10.18
both are well finished (better the aero cool for the cables and connectors) aesthetically neither of the two is a tacens but as of today I want effectiveness, silence and good price and in that the xigmatec meets 100%, it has a "strange" design, 17020 the mounts are for a 140140 fan (and the owners are a few millimeters larger) it is very quiet, it's not ugly and it's very well priced, the Aero coll is also very well priced, it's very well finished, but ….. at full speed it makes a lot of noise (much more than a fan brand revoltec which is the worst on the market :nono:) as both fans will be controlled by a KamaMeter the noise of the aero cool is equal to me. but for those who think about mounting it directly and always at full speed it is a very noisy fan and for noise a Scythe Gentle Typhoon Fan 120mm 5400rpm 50.5dBa is almost more effective and it costs more than double

So, which of the two models did you find better?
It's noticeable that they generate some noise, but as you say, I think it shouldn't be that much, it will be more of a feeling, because I have a similar noise with fewer fans and of lower quality.

What you do is remove the fans from old power supplies and splice them to the current to cool components… :D:D:D They are household turbines :little laughs:
Which one is the front one? It looks very good, I would like to get one similar one of these days.

P.D the front fan is a tacens ventus 50 cfm 12 db about 10.83 euros very happy with them, the bad thing is that they are very dirty

Well the tacens ventus is very interesting, I liked it, I will probably buy one in the coming weeks.

todos los ventis a tope y el comparador de ruidos a nivel medio alto

como ultimo comentario decir que curiosamente el XFL tiene una distancia entre pala y soporte de unos 3 mm mientras que el aero cool se va a unos 5mm
en resumen dos buenos ventiladores para según que usos los XFL para torres no muy espaciosas y instalarlos en la parte superior son ideales ( para nada mas)
los aero cool a tope son muy ruidosos y eso no gusta para montarlos en un disipador de CPU podrían ser interesantes ( por el precio ) para demás usos recomiendo no montarlos directos

y eso es todo
