Like many here, I introduce myself in this community that I found by Googling about overclocking and stumbled upon this place. So a greeting to all users of the HardLimit community.

After reading and reading, I started researching about unlocking cores, needless to say that I tried to unlock at least 1 core on my processor so that it stays at x3. Unfortunately, I couldn't do it… I don't know if it's because I didn't do it right or because it can't be done... But I don't believe this topic is for the purpose of unlocking cores on my processor, but rather to overclock it in order to increase performance (for games and other things).

      My PC has these characteristics.
      Motherboard: Asus M4N68T-M LE V2
      CPU: AMD Athlon 2 X2 215 2.7Mhz
      RAM: 6GB DDR3 1333Mhz Kingston

      I don't know if more data is needed, anything...;

I wanted to know if this CPU can be raised to 3.x (x= 3.0/3.1/3.2, etc)
and if it can, if you would help me do it or better said how it's done... Obviously when I ask how it's done, it's to do it correctly since I don't want to mess around and make mistakes, that's why I want to consult with you, with people who do know about the topic, thanks in advance and many thanks for even reading my comment.

Decoding the original message, I assume you are just starting to research OverClock topics, so the first thing is to read, read and read :sisi:

You can start with your motherboard's manual, and the Basic Overclock Guide, and then when you have clear the concepts, try your own configuration.

If you search a little in the forum, any post of consultation about AMD processors that use DDR2 or DDR3, can serve as a guide.

              Salu2!

In any case the one who needs to reread the rules is you :wall:. Typing like I type I do not think affects anything. Good luck.

Thanks to DefaultUser and Fassou, for the help provided. I am going to read carefully and see what comes out, yesterday I was just with the manual of my MoBo, but I think it will be easier reading tutorials about personal experience...

The biggest doubt I have is if I need a good cooler obligatorily.

The Biggest Doubt I Have Is Whether I Need A Good Cooler Necessarily.

What Is Mandatory Is To Monitor Temperatures When Overclocking And After Overclocking, And It Is Also Essential To Know The Maximum Temperature Limit Of The Micro In Question, To Stay At Least A Certain Distance From This Limit.

Having A More Or Less Effective Heatsink Will Limit Overclocking To One Frequency Or Another.
Start By Seeing What Can Be Done With The Stock Heatsink Without Running Too Hot, Little By Little.

Your Motherboard Supports Micros Up To 125W, But It Has The Mosfet Of The VRM Without A Heatsink, So When You Know And Do More You Will Have To Document Yourself "Extra" About These Details That I Point Out To You.

Here Are The Characteristics Of Your Micro.

The biggest doubt I have is if I need a good cooler necessarily.

Before this gets out of hand, I'm going to recommend that you lower the tone, and that you value if the response to user Sylver, has been proportional.

In this forum, most users are Spanish and we use the customs and traditions of our country, but there are many users from other countries and regions who visit and collaborate with us, and as a general rule the good atmosphere of the forum avoids any problem or misunderstanding, because talking is how people understand each other.

Being new to the forum, and when asking for help, many people value correct written expression as a necessary form of respect, which if it doesn't exist can mean starting off on the wrong foot in this community.

Salu2! and I hope this makes you reflect.

Before anything else, I want to clarify that I have read all the comments, and the fact that I am not responding to them is to avoid a big discussion. Anyway…
After reading all the suggestions that were given to me, I started by doing a simple overclock... based on the guide recommended by Fassou and the suggestions from DefaultUser.

                          According to this text:

Well, depending on our patience, the ideal thing is to increase component by component in stages. For example, we will only increase the processor speed in 100Mhz stages […]

As I understand it: Increase the CPU or memory frequency by 100Mhz at a time, so that if you start with a base of 100, you would increase it to 200Mhz. If what I understand is correct and this is about the CPU frequency, I am limited from 200 to 300. And since it increases by one, I tried increasing it by 10 at a time. When I increased the CPU frequency to 210, the core speed increased to 2.8 (everything normal) when 2.7 is the original speed.
When I increased the frequency to 220, the overclock failure error appeared, so I went back to the previous frequency, 210.
In question, my question is: Is this correct?
On the other hand, according to a YouTube video, this same processor with an Asus MoBo similar to mine increased the CPU frequency to 260 to achieve a core speed of around 3.5Mhz.
My second question is, why does the overclock fail at the beginning of this, only reaching an increase of 20Mhz when it was increased, 40Mhz more.

Come on, read the guides more slowly, and read a few different ones.

Obviously something is failing that you have overlooked, and there is a lot to explain and many guides that explain it.
                            A little patience.
                            Document yourself well first.

I'm about to vote positively for urbanhack mainly because of writing the first letter of each word in uppercase it has its work (I don't know if he uses a program to write like that) but if that's not the case he must have calluses on his little fingers ;D
more interesting topics you download the Vturbo from asus and you put the OC directly (it won't spin as much as from the bios but you'll get something decent
                                  regards

I Don't Think It Takes Away Anyone's Sleep... Instead of Putting Myself to Think Why I Write Like That or Not... They Could Think About More Interesting Things... But Well I Don't Care I Enter This Forum Like I Could Enter Any Other and If They Have to Ban Me Because They Don't Like How I Type... There They Go... But I Think They Are Too Wrong...

Well, man, whatever the problem is, I got used to voting negative on those who don't want to follow the rules, out of spite, not for anything personal... don't let it keep you up at night. For the rest, you have some fantastic OC guides on the forum ahead.

It Seems That Due To Recent Changes In The Forum, If Someone Makes The Blunder Of Writing In All Caps, Which As Everyone Knows, Is Equivalent To YELLING And Is Very Poorly Educated, The Text Is Modified So That Only The First Letter Of Each Word Is In Uppercase.

That Being Said, I'll Tell You That While Your Current Writings Have Gotten You A Not Too Good Reception, If You Had Written The Post All In Uppercase, The Post Would Probably Have Been Deleted And Your User Would Have Been Automatically Penalized.

I Hope That In The Future You'll Keep These Things In Mind, And If We See That Particular Way Of Writing Again, Or Any Other Forbidden By The General Rules Of The Forum, You Will Have Voluntarily Chosen To Stop Participating In The Community.

                                          Salu2!
