I have a flatron lg flat screen monitor
It worked perfectly connected to my old computer
I got a laptop with more power than my computer but with the screen broken
I removed the screen from the laptop and connected it to my lg monitor
Everything worked perfectly. I removed the noisy and bulky tower from my desk and gained space and sound tranquility.
Like this for many months until one day everything changed
I turn it on, it looks like it loads windows vista and half a minute later the screen goes black
and the message analog power saving mode appears and nothing more, the laptop works but
I can't see anything.If I connect the laptop to my LCD television I can see it. So it must not be a cable problem.
To summarize: the lg monitor works connected to my pc but not to the laptop (when until recently it did work)

Try starting the laptop in failsafe mode, this will rule out any Windows configuration issues (high resolution not supported by the monitor etc..)
If you see Windows loading and then the signal is lost, it seems to be an OS configuration problem.Best regards!

Maybe I explained myself wrong.
The image does not go away when Windows is loading, but once it is loaded, the desktop with its icons is already visible. That is, it seems that everything went well, but in less than a minute the image goes away and the message appears.
On the other hand, the monitor supports a large resolution of 1050p.

It seems that your problem is very common, look at this link
Some point to a power setting, others to the fact that it affects Service Pack 3 of XP, others the drivers, etc..
The fact is that LG is up to date and perhaps you will find more answers by writing to their technical service.
