(So That Dps Don't Say Anything To Me, I Type As Everyone Likes)
First of all, hello…
It turns out that I bought a graphics card (Sapphire HD 6870) and a power supply for it (Thermaltake TR2 600w).
The problem I have is that sometimes the PC doesn't start.. I have to turn it off and on again for it to start.
When I turn it on for the first time, the PC turns on but doesn't make any beeps... the memories aren't the problem because I already checked them... the issue is that this has been happening since I changed the graphics card and the power supply...
I connected the card obviously to the pci-e socket with its two 6-pin connectors to the power supply (2x6 input on the motherboard and 2x3 on the power supply).
Honestly, I don't know if the problem is the power supply's wattage or the two 6-pin connectors…
The specifications of my PC are as follows:
mobo: asus m4n68t-m le v2
cpu: amd athlon 2 x2 215 2.7ghz
gpu: ati sapphire hd 6870 1gb gddr5
power supply: thermaltake tr2 600w
monitor: Benq 22" VGA + adapter VGA=>DVINote:
The things I have connected to the computer are: 2 side coolers in addition to all the other connections, mouse and keyboard usb, usb speakers, microphone, and... nothing else...
I give all the data just in case it's necessaryOther questions:
Do I need to change the power supply?
In the case that the previous question is necessary, is the risk of something burning very high?
The second question is because I have to wait to go and make the change...
and 3rd: is there any solution?
thanks in advance for responding -
Hello Urbanhack, first of all, thank you for having the courtesy to write correctly, a detail that honors you.
Regarding your question, unless there is some kind of failure in the power supply, that power should be sufficient for your computer.
You say that when you turn it on for the first time it doesn't start, but does it get to the BIOS, does it get stuck before loading the operating system... or where?
As a test, you can leave only the necessary components to start (a hard drive, a ram module and disconnect the case fans, not the one on the heatsink) and try to start, if it fails like that, also try to measure the output voltage of the power supply with a multimeter, in case it is giving an irregular voltage.Best regards

no.. the issue is that it won't display an image. and the monitor emits a message saying that no signal has been detected.
but if I turn it off and on again, it starts... sometimes I have to do it twice, that is: I turn it on for the first time, it doesn't start; I turn it off, I turn it on, I turn it off and turn it on again and then it starts... it's as if I would have to give it a kick to start... and then normal.. no OS failure, while playing or anything else...
I tried what you told me but nothing happened, it started normally... now that I notice this, it only happens to me when I leave the PC off for a certain amount of time. After the first failure, I turn it off and on a few times and it turns on normally... I didn't do the test because I don't have any tester at hand, not even one to borrow... my concern is whether it's possible that some physical part of the hardware is damaged, since I'm not sure if the problem is due to lack of power... it should be noted that I tried it in another house with another monitor (32") and it happened exactly the same... maybe it's an insignificant problem... but if this small problem is going to lead to big problems, I prefer to try to fix it... obviously by asking for help and recommendations... as is customary in this community...
thanks in advance and thanks again for reading and responding.... -

thanks again for reading and responding....If you leave the computer off but connected to the network it may be due to that, try unplugging the tower when you leave it off to see if it continues to happen.

it's that the pc as I said before I tried it in another place that is in another house so obviously I took it without the network connected…

Well I don't know, I haven't said anything. Anyway if it had been connected for a while and the displacement was short the source could still be "loaded". I mention it because I've seen sources that do that and if you put a simple power strip with a switch it's already "solved" apart from this the source can last the strip.

no.. el tema es q no tira imagen. y el monitor emite un mensaje diciendo q no se a detectado ninguna señal.
According to your response, I interpret that it is a problem that the image does not reach the monitor, but do the rest of the components work?, the fans spin, the hard drive makes a sound. That is to say that it simply does not show the image.
Remove the card, clean the PCI-e socket well with a brush and if you can with a can of compressed air cleaner, do the same with the card's contact, cleaning it with a lint-free cloth. And reconnect everything again. Also try changing the monitor connection cable, in case the fault is that.
Is the power supply new, like the graphics?
Best regards

Ah right, I misread it, don't even bother. xD

Ah vale, había leído mal, no me hagáis ni caso. xD
Do not think you are wrong, because it happens. In my case, with the PC2 from the company, it has happened to me many times, the fact of leaving it connected to the power outlet and the power strip on gives me problems, sometimes I found the BIOS reset, or it would not start and I had to disconnect it from everything…
Since then, I turn off all possible power supplies, and nothing has happened again.Greetings

it seems like it doesn't reach... but when I turn it on and it doesn't start up I don't hear the beep.. that is, it turns on but doesn't boot... and when I turn it off and on the beep sounds and then it starts up and throws an image.
regarding the hardware, if both are new I bought the card and as the power supply I had was 400 I bought one of 600. The socket is clean and the card's contacts are new.if I disconnect the power supply completely or just leave the PC off the problem happens in both cases.
I turned off the PC, disconnected it, removed the cover disconnected everything, removed the cables that came with the motherboard and connected it directly to the power supply's power supply that is 2x6pines. I disconnected the power to the micro and the mobo, I left everything arranged, it would have been 5 minutes. I connected everything, left the cover open to see if everything started up; I turned it on again and... black screen without a beep, the coolers started up and the disk sounded.. of course the video card's cooler also sounded... at one point I thought it was the monitor with the VGA to DVI adapter but then I remembered that when I connected the PC in the other house with the other monitor which of course was an LCD TV with HDMI it did the same thing... so the truth is I don't have the faintest idea what it could be... the truth goes beyond my brain
