WiFi Network Card Recommendation

Basically that, I'm going to build a computer and I need a WiFi network card, but I don't know which ones are better or worse or which ones are more powerful or less.
Currently I'm using a laptop from a while ago, an HPPavilion that I honestly don't know the power of its network card, but from the room where I use it, the router signal is quite bad, so I need something with a power a little higher than normal.

I recommend the TRENDnet TEW-648UBM, which is a USB adapter of a tiny size that offers very good performance.

Man if you have signal problems... it wouldn't be the best. Buy an adapter that has an antenna that isn't fixed if possible so you can change it for one with more gain in case.

Ok, I had misread the message. If you have a weak signal, you need something with an external antenna, as Bm4n has told you.

How so? On Pccomponentes I only see cards with an antenna that have complaints about poor coverage in the reviews... Could an external one be better?

The problem is that the antennas that come "standard" with most cards are not very gainful, the advantage is that the ones that come with an external antenna in case you don't have enough power, you can always replace the antenna with one that has more gain.
For example, looking at this card which is the cheapest one, we see that it has an antenna of 2dBi (RP-SMA) TP-Link TL-WN751ND 150Mbps 11n Wireless PCI TL-WN751ND Ethernet Card
If you don't have enough signal, you add this same card http://www.pccomponentes.com/wifisky_antena_omni_direccional_10_dbi_2_4ghz_sma.html and it's another world.
Because it doesn't come with this antenna as standard... look at the prices. -

Well, finally the external card with its 11db antenna arrived. A delight. It's true that it's a bit unstable, but you get the hang of placing it and it works fine. Highly recommended.
