Convert photos from 4:3 to 16:9

Llevo unos días buscando un programa que sirva para lo que quiero pero no encuentro nada.

Necesito que convierta fotografías con una relación de aspecto de 4:3 a 16:9 SIN deformar la imagen, es decir, que recorte una franaja por arriba y por abajado del mismo tamaño por ambos lados perdiendo de esa forma esta parte de la imagen.

Y también es fundamental que haga trabajo por lotes.

Si estuviera disponible para Linux estaría muy bien también, pero no es necesario.

Acabo de ver este hilo antiguo. Al final he estado usando un programa llamado Irfanview que no está disponible para Linux ni funciona bien en Wine pero que hace exactamente lo que necesito.

A falta que probarlo en un caso real, creo que es exactamente lo que buscaba. Además tiene una interfaz mucho más intuitiva que Irfanview.

Voy a pedir que lo incluyan en los repositorio de Mageia, que no entiendo cómo no puede estar.

Edit: parece que el programa está sujeto a una serie de licencias por usar diversas tecnologías de tratamiento de imágenes, así que supongo que es imposible incluirlo en una distro.

I was going to tell you that for something else that has nothing to do with it, I was using ffmpeg to extract a frame from a video and if I remember correctly, it allows you to edit the photos (at least with the video and audio it allows it). Since it's command line, it's easily'scriptable'

I'm using it to make a timelapse. To convert the photos to videos and assemble the videos, I'm using Kdenlive which creates and runs the scripts automatically and absolutely everything from the GUI.
