Can you use normal 3-pin fans (without PWM) with SpeedFan, even if the motherboard only has 4-pin connectors?

      Regards.

Speedfan is a program that allows you to use under Windows, the fan controls that are usually configured in the BIOS itself, or through some application that the motherboard manufacturer provides.

For recommendations on cooling the micro, you can put a Corsair Hydro H80 or H100 (~100€) depending on the space you have.

        Salu2!

Thanks Fassou, but then I understand that SpeedFan is not for 3-pin fans?

Valid for all 3 and 4 pin fan connectors, which allow regulation by BIOS.

                @Obione:

It can also be voltage-controlled, most boards allow it on CPU_Fan and if it doesn't allow it, you always have the System fans regulated with SpeedFan.

If you want silence, go for a Hyper 412S.

I have a problem with this cooler Obione. I like it but I don't know if it fits in a CM Silencio 450. I think not, but I'm not sure.

                Regards.

Well, PC Componentes just got back to me and they say no… enough is enough.

                    Do I insist?

On the other hand, I found this Noctua with PWM control:
Noctua.at - sound-optimised premium components "Designed in Austria"!

Do you think it will be worth it?

                      Best regards.

I thought it would fit because I've seen some 12cm fans installed, but now that I see this review, things are very tight:

Cooler Master Silencio 450 Review - Clearance – CPU, GPU, Cable Management

2mm difference between the Noctua and the CM. I think it fits, but maybe it touches the lid.

To be honest, I don't know. Maybe it touches the lid.

Well, I have 2 options then, out of everything I've looked at, either the Noctua L12 with a flat profile and PWM that I linked before, or the Noctua C12P SE14 with a flat profile as well but without PWM.

Which one of the two would you go for?

                          Regards.

None. If the Noctua 158 fits, I would look into the 212 EVO which is 159 VS the 160 of the 412S. Before those Noctua, I would go for a cheap RL kit that costs the same.

                            Antec Kuhler H2O 620 0761345-77085-9 Liquid Cooling

Editing: The Mugen 3 is as tall as the Noctua and is quite good in terms of performance/price. In terms of silence/price and without needing to adjust, the 412S with the voltage reducer is very good.

In this review they put an Enermax 160:

Have you already bought the tower or are you still in time to choose a wider one?.
With a slightly wider one you could put very interesting heatsinks without any problems.
